We Made a Kids Puppet Show In My Backyard
I'm a puppet person now!
… It’s called Wooby & Fotty, and it’s about kids blankets!
This is a very exciting day for me and a handful of my friends.
About a year ago, my sister-mom, Emmy Award winner Lauren Pomerantz, shared an idea with me to make a kid’s show about a pair of childhood blankets. I thought it was a no-brainer, and was baffled by the fact that nobody had done it yet.
Together, we decided that, instead of developing a pitch and trying to convince somebody at a network or studio to approve of, believe in, and fund our show, that we would put together a small team of creatives and make the show ourselves— in my backyard.
We got puppets designed and built by one of the best puppet workshops in the world, brought on some of the most creative and talented people we know, and began writing, recording and filming.
I am so proud of what we’ve done so far, and so excited for where these characters can go.
***It should be noted that Fotty is the green one and Wooby is the blue one!***
